  • Location: 112 Madison Ave, 9th Floor, New York, New York
  • Hours: Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays: 9:30 am – 5:00 pm; Fun Fridays: 9:30 am – 2 pm
  • End and Start Date: June 3rd – August 2nd
  • Compensation: $1,600 ($800/month)

 

II. Description

 

Seiden is a mission-driven marketing agency based in the flatiron district of NYC. We combine strategy, technology and creativity to produce award-winning work that moves our clients’ business forward. On top of that, we add in old-fashioned common sense, honest communication and a few office dogs to keep it real. 

 

You will spend your two months facilitating clients’ needs with the larger Seiden team, assisting in campaign management, and researching your clients’ industry.

 

Your internship will be supervised by your direct managers, Emily Foo and Kirsten Nicholas, as well as the Seiden Internship Program Supervisors, Kristen Vinges and Liza Seiden.

 

What You Will Learn

  • Communication skills for working with various team members and external clients
  • General understanding of healthcare industry, advertising industry, and agency-life

 

Your Responsibilities

 

  • Work with media team to track new campaign launches
  • Assist in compiling weekly competitive analyses
  • Organize/quality-check printed assets
  • Proofread creative assets prior to launch
  • Assist in creating in timelines and managing team to meet deadlines
  • Sit in/take-notes in both internal/external meetings/phone calls
  • Monitor social media for relevant brands
  • Research and write blog posts for Seiden blog
  • General emails and PowerPoints for clients as needed
  • End of internship project

 

 

If a student/applicant has a specific set of skills or interests, it may be wise to build some flexibility into the responsibilities.

 

Your Qualifications

 

  • Prefer sophomore or junior, but will consider other class levels
  • Pursuing BA in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related fields
  • An interest in advertising and project management
  • Prefer GPA of 3.2 or higher
  • Excellent written, oral,  and communication/presentation skills
  • Detail oriented and strong organization skills

Your Responsibilities

 

  • Assist the media team with executing campaigns
  • Create recaps reflecting media activity each month
  • Check for proof of performance in print publications
  • Analyze digital performance and include insights
  • Maintain campaign timelines
  • Review new media opportunities and provide POVs
  • Attend and participate in client calls, vender and internal meetings
  • Keep up to date with new media trends and share with the team
  • Process invoices and maintain billing recaps
  • Research competitors
  • End of internship project
